Alpaca Boot Camp

Alpaca Bella Fina invites you to participate as a guest or client in our Boot Camp. Guests will have a tour of the working ranch, meet and greet the alpacas, and receive a detailed outline on how to get started in the alpaca business. We also go over how to care for these doe-eyed critters and more.

Clients go through a vigorous one-on-one training day. Wear your old clothes and shoes, as we are going to get dirty! We will go over in-depth everything you need to know to successfully raise alpacas, including our show-winning diet and nutrition supplementation.

You will scoop poop, cut nails, and be shown how to give shots. We will show you how to catch and handle your alpacas. We provide a cria care kit and neonatal information. And if you are skittish about birthing, we do offer birthing services.

Next is record keeping. We will provide you with all the forms needed to run a successful herd health program and information on how to market your ranch for success.

Specialized Boot Camps are available, such as stud day. Here you will round up dams and sires and participate in the breeding of alpacas. There is also shearing Boot Camp, where you participate in shearing, sorting, and skirting fleeces.
